Adult Sunday School
Each Sunday at 10 am, we have a variety of classes that meet all types of interests and desires.

Challenger - Room 201-203
The Challenger Class does just that – challenges us to delve deeper and to constantly re-examine our faith through mutual study and discussion. The fact that students are in various stages of their lives provides a broad spectrum of insight, perspective, and experience.

We are currently studying scriptures that help us answer the question posed to Jesus on several occasions: "What must I do?" We've begun with the Ten Commandments as we asked how the Old/First Testament helps us define the requirements of the Christian life. The Rev. Dick Mitchell is co-teaching this series.
Facilitator: Rev. Landa Simmons

Gateway - Room 205
W
e are made up of people ages 30-something and up (even includes some grandparents). We are eclectic, widely diverse in age and background; singles and couples. Group is characterized by our distinct intellectual curiosity.

This class rotates studies alternating between Bible study and thought-provoking topics of interest to the group (current events, ethics, self help, life issues, and so forth). We are currently studying "Who Do They Say I Am?  The Current Quest for the Historical Jesus." The last 30 years  have seen an explosion of new literary and historical insight into the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth.  Rev. Jones surveys the findings of the Jesus Seminar, Marcus Borg, Dominic Crossan and other leading Jesus scholars.  Join us and be a part of this great class.
Facilitator: Rev. Chuck Jones

Genesis - Room 120                                                                                               This Genesis is a class for "young" adults in age or heart.  Various members help facilitate the class.  We are studying the book of Proverbs.  All are welcome.                                 Facilitator: Terry Frost

Parentheses People - Room 207
We are made up of about a dozen or so people from various walks of life within our church family. Ages range from mid life to starting over, some single, some married. Some stand to the far left, others to the far right. We are never at a loss for discussion and regularly draw from the most important reference material: a life of memories and experiences!  The theme of the class is current events with God in mind.  All are invited to join in the discussion.
Facilitator: Dr. Bob Roper

OMNI (Open Minded to New Insights) - Room 214 (Parlor)
We are an Intergenerational group in dialogue with scripture. All are welcome. We have begun a study of the Gospels, now taking an in-depth look at the Gospel of John..
