SSCC’s Mission and Outreach Team recently received notice that SSCC has been granted official designation as a Global Mission Church!
Becoming a Global Mission Church requires successful completion of a variety of steps including regular global prayers, global education, partnerships, participation and support of global projects. Each week, as a congregation, we affirm our belief in “witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps to the ends of the earth” and now, we have an official certificate affirming that we put our words into action.
Mission projects that helped us earn this distinction include our youth’s annual Mexican Mission, the planning and participation in pilgrimages to India, our continued partnership with Mungeli Christian Hospital, our refugee resettlement work, and our recent efforts assisting Haitian medical evacuees.
Additionally, Real People Real Faith lectures by Johnny Wray, “Stay-cation,” VBS, informational programs by members who served globally (Lauren Hill’s presentation on her participation in Tom’s Shoe Drop and Danny Gulden’s presentation on his mission to Bosnia), and VBS enhanced our standing.
We invite you to join us in upholding our commitment to global mission work by praying for global issues, considering a global mission trip, attending our global educational programs, and supporting our global mission efforts financially, physically or spiritually.
Congratulations
