Beginnings Class

The next 10-week series starts September 12, 2010 and is intended for visitors and new members who are interested in learning more about Sandy Springs Christian Church and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Phil Price and Erin Reed Cooper will lead the class on the following topics:
Bible Talk - how we as Disciples view the Bible and its authority
Disciples Talk - the history, polity and ethos of the Christian Church (DOC)
Faith Talk - how our faith intersects with our daily lives

Children Worship & Wonder Orientation
August 22, 29 and September 5 - During 11 am worship service, Room 205
Children ages 3 years through 2nd grade
Children Worship & Wonder is an exciting way of approaching faith formation with children. In CW&W children have the opportunity to hear Bible stories and form responses out of their own life experiences. They learn the meaning of church traditions and participate in worship practices.

September 18-19 50th Anniversary Celebration Weekend
September 11 Day of Service. Go to the web or sign up in the Centrum for your choice of projects. Sign up by Sept. 7.
September 18 Anniversary Gala Dinner and Dancing Through the Ages, 6:00 pm. Invitations have been mailed. Please return your RSVP by September 1 or call the church office. $10 per person.
We expect a big crowd at the September 19 Worship Celebration. There is only one service at 10:00 am. Rev. Dick Hamm is preaching. Reception to follow.
